Fans have started posting secret rares from Japan's upcoming Abyss Eye set ahead of its May 22 release, with full-art and special illustration treatments surfacing for Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex, Mega Darkrai ex, and Morpeko ex, alongside trainer cards Gladion's Fighting Spirit and Gwynn. Silvally (#093) and Gladion's Fighting Spirit (#116) form a connected piece of art when placed side by side.
Abyss Eye is headlined by Mega Darkrai ex and will release in English as part of the Pitch Black set on July 17. Japan's broader 2026 lineup continues with Storm Emeralda and the Mega Starter Set ex Decks on July 31, the 30th Celebration set on September 16, nine 30th Celebration Card Sets on October 16, and the trademarked Aura Seeker set rumored to feature Mega Lucario Z later in the year.
