🔵 "Abyss Eye" Set Featuring Mega Darkrai ex Revealed for May
Japan's next set, Abyss Eye (M5), releases May 22nd and will be the first to feature Mega Evolutions from December's Mega Dimension DLC, including Mega Darkrai. The main set contains 81 cards with an estimated 35-40 secret rares.
This will also be the first set to reflect a booster pack price increase from 180 to 200 yen following Creatures' announcement about rising material costs. English players will get these cards in the Pitch Black set on July 17th. (Source: Pokebeach)
🔵 Mega Festa 2026 Magikarp Promo Revealed for Seoul Stamp Rally
As part of Pokémon's 30th anniversary celebrations, Pokémon Korea is hosting Mega Festa 2026 across Seoul throughout May. A Pokémon GO Stamp Rally running May 1-31 will reward participants who collect 3 or more stamps with an exclusive Magikarp promo card (040/M-P) featuring Psyduck, shiny Magikarp, Gyarados, and Pikachu. Distribution is limited to one card per Pokémon GO account, with daily quantities capped and subject to running out early. (Source: Elite Fourum)
🔵 PSA Parent Company Faces Antitrust Lawsuit Over SGC & Beckett Acquisitions
Collectors Holdings, the parent company of PSA, is facing a proposed class action lawsuit alleging its acquisitions of SGC (February 2024) and Beckett (December 2025) created an illegal monopoly in trading card grading. The suit claims Collectors now controls roughly 80% of the market, and that following the acquisitions, SGC prices increased 20% and turnaround times grew by as much as 400%. The plaintiff is seeking damages and forced divestment of both SGC and Beckett. Congressman Pat Ryan had previously urged the FTC to investigate. Collectors has not yet filed a response. Sales History: Mid-2025 sales ranged from $7.6k-$8k (~+81% vs current), up from $4.4k-$4.7k in Aug 2024. A Nov 2025 sale hit $14.6k, just above the current sale.
🔵 Lot of 4 151 Pokemon Center ETBs Sells for $6k

Sales History: Individual boxes were selling in the $91–$120 range throughout early-to-mid 2024. By April 2026, single boxes are now auctioning for $1,275–$1,300, representing roughly a 10x increase from their 2024 trading range. At $1,500/unit, this lot of 4 sold at a slight premium over recent individual auction comps.

🔵 PSA 10 Pikachu Outbreak 3-Card Set Sells for $9k
A set of three Japanese XY-P promo cards distributed exclusively at the Pikachu Outbreak! event in Yokohama, Japan, which ran August 9-17, 2014. The event featured 1,000 Pikachu across the Minato Mirai 21 district and was one of the most iconic Pokémon live events in Japan.
Singles Type - Condition: Graded - PSA 10
Set Name - Year: Japanese XY-P Promos - 2014
Sales History: A complete PSA 10 set sold for $800 (Mar 2025) and $1.3k (May 2025). Individual cards have surged from ~$230-$260 each in mid-2024 to $2.5k-$2.7k each by April 2026, roughly a 10x increase.
🔵 PSA 10 Reverse Holo Platinum Blastoise Sells for $13.75k

Set Name - Year: Platinum Base Set - 2009
Sales History: Because this is a pop 1 card there is no history to compare to but a similar PSA 10 (pop 8) reverse holo Vulpix sold for $13k in Mar. 2026.

🔵 Japanese Costco Exclusive Blister Sells for $7.35k
A sealed blister from the first-ever promos made for the Japanese Costco market, which opened in 1999. These "trade and play" clamshell blisters were produced for Japanese Costco locations, but a few pallets were mistakenly shipped to the US due to a shipping error that swapped English and Japanese inventory. English retail packaging with Japanese product inside.

Sales History: One sold at auction in Dec. 2024 for $1,500 hammer ($1,875 with 25% BP), making this sale a ~+292% increase.
🔵 Team Rocket 1st Edition Booster Box Sells for $35k
Sale price includes a 25% buyer premium. The top chase of this set is the 1st Edition Dark Charizard in a PSA 10 where one copy recently sold for $20k in Feb. 2026.
